Overview
First aid can save lives! This course equips you with the essential skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
Whether you’re required to take a First Aid course HLTAID011 for work, want to learn techniques for family safety, or simply aim to acquire a valuable new skill, a First Aid course could be the difference in saving someone’s life!
In most states and territories, workplace first aiders must renew their first aid certificate every three (3) years to keep their skills current.
Course Description
This course is applicable to all workers who may need to provide a first aid response in various situations, including community and workplace settings. It’s also ideal for those conducting annual refresher training, maintaining workplace skills, or simply acquiring this essential life-saving ability.
Our first aid course will teach you how to handle emergency first aid situations, including responding to an emergency, applying appropriate first aid procedures, communicating details of the incident, and reviewing the incident. This is the standard requirement for many industries and jobs.

Entry Requirements
To enrol in this course with TP Training, participants must:
- Provide a form of photo identification (e.g., driver’s licence or passport)
- Have the physical ability to demonstrate the required tasks
- Provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) Get your USI here
- Complete TP Training’s Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment

Attendance
This course requires pre-course study (approximately 3–5 hours) and 1-day in-person training and assessment.

Participants must arrive 15 minutes prior to the course start time for enrolment paperwork. Late arrivals (15 minutes after the scheduled start) will be refused entry.

Training & Assessments
Training and assessment are conducted at TP Training by a qualified trainer who will monitor your progress. The course includes both theoretical and practical components, delivered in a simulated work environment.
Training will consist of classroom sessions, group discussions, and practical demonstrations. Assessment will confirm that you have successfully acquired the required knowledge and skills. Multiple assessment opportunities are provided throughout the course.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the 1-day training and assessment, participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by TP Training. The SOA will list all units of competency included in the course.
