Course Description

The CPR course equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. The training applies to individuals who may be required to provide CPR in various scenarios, including community and workplace settings.

Participants will learn how to manage emergency situations, perform CPR procedures, communicate details of incidents effectively, and conduct a thorough review of emergencies.

Entry Requirements

To enroll in the CPR course, participants must:

  • Provide a form of photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
  • Demonstrate the physical ability to perform required tasks.
  • Have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number (available here).
  • Complete TP Training’s Language, Literacy, and Numeracy assessment.

Attendance

The course requires approximately 3–5 hours of pre-course study, followed by a 1-day attendance for training and assessment. Participants should arrive 15 minutes early to complete enrollment paperwork. Late arrivals (15 minutes after the scheduled start) will not be permitted to join.

Training & Assessment

Training takes place at TP Training under the supervision of qualified trainers. The course comprises both theoretical and practical elements, delivered in a simulated work environment. Assessments will confirm that knowledge and skills have been acquired and that competency across the units has been demonstrated.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a nationally recognized Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by TP Training, listing all units of competency covered.

  • Course Fee: $100, now discounted to $75
  • Duration: 4 hours (excluding required pre-course study)
